Remember, the word “mantra” is a Sanskrit word that means “mind-vehicle”, it takes us from the waking state into the Bliss Field state.
Thoughts during meditation are not daydreams BUT are as important as deep dives. Thoughts are indicators that some stress has just left the body. Less stress in the body is the thing that is allowing you to perform better in your waking state. When you de-excite something, you create order. With the mantra in the background, the mind just keeps coming back organically, effortlessly.
Remember, the point of meditation is not to get good at meditation, it is to get good at life. One of the prices we have to pay is shallow, thought-filled meditations.
